If I Were the PM
I am not the Prime Minister of the country, and I never dreamed of being one. But there are a few things I would do if I were the PM. First I would get the government to declare amnesty on most of the money taken out from the country in the past 30 or 40 years. A lot of money have been illegally taken out for many reasons. The government should facilitate and encourage the return of the money in such a way that will benefit the nation and also those who are holding the money. Second, I would break up monopolies and cartels, except when open competition is not a feasible choice or is against national interest. Third, I will accelerate the use of e-money and target that 90% of all transactions are settled without actual cash. I believe this is the most effective weapon against corruption. Fourth, I will reduce the reliance on civil service by creating alternative channel to deliver government services. This can be done by creating institutions, corporations and agencies outside
